Keep your buyer informed
An informed buyer is a happy buyer, and happy buyers become repeat customers! After you’ve been notified of a sale, it’s good customer service to send your buyer a private message thanking them for their business and letting them know when you plan to ship their item. This eliminates a lot of guesswork on your buyer’s end about the parcel’s whereabouts and increases the odds of earning that sweet 5-star feedback Problems? Delays? Life getting in the way of being able to ship promptly? These things happen, just remember to keep your buyer as informed as possible along the way.
Update your buyer
Message your buyer again, this time to let them know you’ve shipped the item and to supply them with a tracking number. Keep in mind that not all shipping carriers supply you with a free tracking number, we highly recommend you always provide tracking and always use a company that has the option of a tracked delivery—not only does this make your buyer feel informed and safe about their purchase, you can rest easy knowing that if something goes wrong, like the item gets lost in the post, you won’t be held at fault in the case of a dispute.
